Sunshine Coast 2032

The logo is described as “a meeting and gathering place”. It symbolises people coming together, participation, partnerships and community.

Hands in the design represent diversity, inclusion, movement, accessibility, equity, volunteering and community involvement.

There are ten inside circles which represent each year leading up to 2032, and six colours representing the six committees of the organisation.

The circular motif is encompassed by the “2” and “3” (for “2032”), emphasising unity, respect, trust, transparency, encouragement, equity and honesty.

A significant indigenous element: the centre-piece references the bunya tree, which is important to the Traditional Custodians of the land — acknowledging the Aboriginal heritage of the region.

MGM

Blue – Represents the Bundjalung people of the northern coastal area of New South Wales Australia where Anthony Mundine is from. The original custodians of this area.

Red – Represents, the red earth & the ochre used in ceremonies and Aboriginal peoples’ spiritual relation to the land.

Yellow – Represents the Sun, the giver of life & the protector.

Black – Represents the Aboriginal people of Australia.
